01What a cookie is here
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. We use very few of them, and this page lists all of the ones we control. Cookies set by advertising partners are listed separately below, because they are governed by those partners.
02Strictly necessary cookies
Session cookie: identifies your browsing session so you stay signed in from page to page. Expires when the session ends. CSRF token: proves a form submission came from the page it claims to, which is what stops another site acting on your behalf. Expires with the session. Appearance preference: remembers whether you chose light or dark. Kept for a year. These cannot be switched off without breaking sign-in and forms, and they carry no advertising or tracking purpose.
03Advertising cookies
Advertising partners, including Google, may set cookies to measure whether an ad was seen or clicked and to select which ads you are shown, based on your prior visits to this and other websites. These are set by the network rather than by us, and their lifetimes are set by the network. Where consent is legally required, they are only set after you have given it.
04What we do not use
We do not run analytics or profiling cookies of our own, we do not use social network tracking pixels, and we do not sell or share personal data with data brokers.
05Controlling cookies
Your browser can block or delete cookies for this site; the settings sit under privacy or site data. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop you signing in. For advertising specifically, use Google Ads Settings or the industry opt-out at aboutads.info. Where we asked you for consent, you can withdraw it at any time and later visits will not set those cookies.
